I was going to spring for a higher end APC model, but reviews indicated that this model, unlike others, is very quiet -- a priority for me. Well, it is whisper quiet, even next to me in a cabinet partially open.
For a test I connected to my refrigerator to see what happens when running on batteries. To my surprise it ran for an hour, with the LED display showing clearly and accurately levels of battery left. Recharging the UPS took overnight.
I moved it back to my office to replace an old 650VA CyberPower. Despite hot weather, no overheating, no fans kicking in, no strange beeping. Time will tell durability, but out-of-the-box it is good value.

This would be a GREAT unit if the power chute software was for a MAC computer. There are settings that you can change with the software a LOT easier then using the front panel. Yes Mac has built in UPS support but there still needs to be a way to change settings on the unit via software.

Works well However cannot get the software to work on our system which would allow for a clean shutdown. Still working on that.
Have tested the battery and it lasts about as long as the screen indicates. (29min)
